Water grade polyethersulfone (PES) filter cartridges are a cost-effective alternative to standard or pharmaceutical gradecartridges for the filtration of aqueous-based liquids.The PES membrane in a high-purity, all polypropylene construction provides excellent chemical compatibility and competitive flow rates per surface area. No adhesives, binders or surfactants are used in the manufacturing process.
The hydrophilic PES membrane does not require pre-wetting with IPA then flushing with water, thereby eliminating a potential source of contamination and hazardous waste. In addition, unlike hydrophobic filters such as polypropylene and PTFE, the hydrophilic membrane reduces the potential for bubble formation by not de-wetting in out-gassing fluids.
